Bernese, Bichon, Coonhound: Personality & Health Issues
Bernese Mountain Dog:

Bernese Mountain Dogs are a particularly hardy breed and rarely ill.  However, they need a good deal of space.  Although these dogs can be reliable guardians and workers, they do not take well to a change of ownership after they have reached 18 months of age.  Health problems may develop, or they may become too aggressive to manage.

Average Lifespan Of The Bernese Mountain Dog: 12-15 Years
Average Weight: 71-110lbs

Inherited Health Disorders:

Mouth:
Cleft Lip And Palate.
Bichon Frise:

The Bichon Frise's coat needs very special attention.  It must be groomed daily with a stiff brush, and the dog bathed once a month.  Runny eyes are a recurrent problem - due to obstructions in the tear ducts - and must be cleaned regularly with a cotton swab dipped in a special lotion; consult your vet.

Average Lifespan Of The Bichon Frise: 14-15 Years
Average Weight: 10-18lbs

Inherited Health Disorders:

Eyes:
Corneal Degeneration (dystrophy): Deterioration of the corneal tissue.
Black And Tan Coonhound:

The Coonhound is a gentle, very affectionate and energetic dog with an extremely loud bark.  Never leave a Coonhound alone all day, as they will surely get into some kind of mischief due to boredom, such as becoming a "serial barker" or destroying your couch!

Average Lifespan Of The Black And Tan Coonhound: 10-12 Years
Average Weight: 50-70lbs

Inherited Health Disorders:

Blood:
Hemophilia: Hemophilia is a disorder in which blood will not clot properly to aid in the healing of wounds.  A dog with a mild form or hemophilia might never even need treatment, unless excessing bleeding occurs due to trauma or surgery.  Unfortunately, dogs with severe hemophilia often die from uncontrollable bleeding problems.  Once you know your dog is affected, your vet will help you with managing this lifelong disorder.  This will include being vigilant for signs of bleeding, and occasional blood transfusions.
